Cutting the (cable TV) cord ...

I am getting sick and tired of TWC's attitude and am getting ready to cut the cord ...
Of course, it helps that my 12 months of special pricing are up and I am not in the mood to argue with the idiots there about getting that pricing again (usually I get standard cable plus 3 tiers plus their most basic internet for $75 ... they just re-upped the price to $95).

We watch TV via Media Center anyhow, so I figure I will have access to 90% of the shows and movies we watch via:
- OTA broadcast (HDHR - oh yeah!)
- Media Center Internet TV (seems to have a lot of CBS and Showtime shows)
- Hulu (with nice integration into Win7MC)
- Netflix

(This should hopefully also take care off the stupid PlayReady stutter bug in Win7)

Am I missing any good streaming TV resources that can be integrated into media center?
The only shows/channels I will really be missing will be Mythbusters and History/Discovery channel. The rest is just BS anyhow.

ESPN3.COM for Free sports.

MLB.TV and the NBA also have online streaming off all out of market games (due to local blackout rules) for a yearly fee.

I don't think any of these actually integrate into media center ... and to be honest: sports on ESPN ... bleh.

So - we have been testing Netflix for the last couple of days and I can say that it is a BIG success. Especially with the better half!
It actually went so well that I was very cool when I called TWC today about the expiration of our 12 month pricing special. ($75 for basic internet, standard cable + 3 tiers).
The idiots actually offered me the great deal of $75 for basic internet + standard cable with NO tiers ... so half the channels for the same price as before. Or $90-$100 if we keep everything.
I said 'NO' and cancelled everything but the internet (which I upgraded, since that gave us a 12 month reduced price [TWC = idiots]).
So, we are now only going to pay $35 for internet + $9 for Netflix vs. $75 the last couple of months ... or $90 if we had accepted their 'deal'.

I guess we could also switch from cable internet to at&t DSL but I am not sure it would be worth the hassle (despite the $100 gift card for switching). The best DSL costs $45 though we would probably get discounts due to our cell phone bills and premiere accounts ... I assume up to 20% off.

I'm not sure about the rest, but MLB.tv integrated in to Boxee, which in turn is easy to flip to and from with Media Center.
