Have been through most of the sticky guides at the top but didn't find what I want. Which tool is best to cut a fan hole NEATLY (I don't mind re-doing it but I'd like the end result to be nice - try try again) into a plexiglass that will be used for a case window?

Thanks. Sorry if this has been done to death; searched the forums and as I said stickies too.

does your piece of plexiglass still have the protective sheet over it? Easiest way would be using a hole saw, but if your plexiglass is already installed without any protection on it you will have to mask it up with paper and masking tape to protect it from scratches. If you have a very steady hand you can drill a small hole and use a jigsaw with a fine tooth blade and cut out any sized hole you want.

Nope; have much less than a steady hand, that's why I asked.

I will be buying the plexiglass at OSH so it will come with the covering paper and will try that. I would like a 60 mm fan and will try to approximate that with American standard (inches) hole saw bit - dang, wish we were all standardized.

Good suggestion about the paper covering. Thanks

hole saw is the best way. i just cut about 4 different holes in my acrylic case. remember to tape around where you're cutting.
