It really looked like a "regular" bird to me, for lack of a better term at first.

Then it looked like a swallow.

Now it looks like a regular bird again, but it's missing the orange on it's breast so I don't think it's a bluebird.

I r teh confused. Need a higher resolution pic.

It really looked like a "regular" bird to me, for lack of a better term at first.

It is most definitely a Bluebird. I was at a preserve, and those boxes are specifically for Bluebirds. They are too big for the Starlings to fit into, otherwise they would take over the same area.

Guess I shouldn't have second guessed myself. Do only males have the orange spot on their breast?

Bluebirds have always been quite attractive to me, for some reason... They have a very unique head.

I took one look at it, posted.. and then I started looking at it's colors and second guessed myself.. lol

The way it's wing feathers look long almost makes it look like a swallow. But then it has the typical sparrow-type feet.

Yes, highly technical terms.. you can see I persued my interest in birds far. 😉 lol
