CuteFTP 4.2.6 speed problem

Hi, i am a cable modem user

when using CuteFTP to download, the max speed i can get is 60.0 KB/s

of course cable modem can do better than that(using FlashGet i can get over 500KB/s, just like 10x faster)

can i do something in the registry to release the limit?

of course the other side is not a dialup.

CuteFTP is a POS, while transferring it crushes your CPU for no reason. You should get better than 60K/s, but I'd look for a better client.

To run it at extremely high usage, I've seen CuteFTP use 100% of a CPU while transferring a number of files and in my opinion there's no reason or excuse for that.

Sorry, I use ncftp most of the time, it's a CLI ftp client so if you're looking for something like CuteFTP it won't fit the bill.
