Cut and paste from Acrobat

This my be a simple one, but how the heck do you cut and paste from a Acrobat doc? Do you need a special version on reader?

Using Acrobat Reader 5.0:
Use the "Text Select Tool" and "Graphic Select Tool" on the toolbar at the top.
