So in the last two nights I've had two instances which I was utterly disgusted.
The first is when we went to this classy joint to get some dinner. It was two girls and my boy on a double date just to get some food have some drinks, whatever. First we get this waitress asking us what we wanted for drinks and we told her we were gonna go to the bar and she's like "I'd rather you just order through me" (obviously wanting the tip money) We just told her fine we will have water, we went to the bar after she left. Another waitress takes over her table and was all nice and caring like you should have in a classy restaurant. Later we get some more drinks from the bar and give our dates a sip (they were one year younger 20 years old), she comes over and says "guys cut the sh*t out, we cant do that here, seriously knock it off or we will have to kick you out". We sit there in utter disgust cause its not like we were buying drinks for them, they just wanted a taste. So after that she never came back another server came by and asked us if we wanted to wrap our food up which we werent even done with. We responded and said yes we dont wanna sit around and listen to this crap so we said wrap it up and you wont get our business anymore. End of that.
The second time was at a pizza place. My friend went there and the ordered seperate pizza's for theirselves. "Id like a small with extra cheese and black olives" . The waitress responds "Black olives? Where on that menu do you see black olives?"(sarcastic tone) My friend was like uhhh your a pizza place most places carry black olives so i just assumed you had them. "No, we dont have them, they arent on the menu are they?" My friend was like ok, and just ordered extra cheese"
Has customer service really went down this much? It's the person(s) job to make you happy whatever happened to going the extra mile and doing what is necessary?
I found these to instances to be ridiculous, I mean we are treating these girls to dinner and we get this crap, honestly it makes me not even want to eat out anymore, im disgusted.
Anyone else have similar experiences?
