I'm currently talking to a customer service person online for beachbody.com about why they made multiple charges to my credit card after I've already canceled my subscription. I'm not sure if I should give it to him. On one hand, I know he's a legit customer service rep since I clicked on the link from their official website. On the other hand, any stranger asking me for my full credit card number seems kinda fishy.

Dass: ***, as you informed that you are being charged on your Visa card bearing # ending with **** & expiration date as **/**, I tried every possible way to find out the reason.
Dass: I was not able to locate any information.
Dass: I would need the complete # so that I can put it in my records & obtain the information about the charges.
Dass: Can I have the complete card # please ?

if you give your CC to the moron at your local B&M they can read your complete CC #, what is the difference?

I think the difference is the the customer rep is associated with beachbody.com and they already have questionable charges to his account.

I vote to dispute the charges with the CC company.

At the most i've only been asked for the last 4 digits, and they should already have your information, no need for the entire number like that. Seems fishy since they're seemingly already charging you for stuff you didnt want.

the guy might not have access to his credit card number on file, its probably encypted or something.

i'd try a different rep and then dispute with the CC company.

Once I enter a CC# at work I can no longer access that info and many companies are setup that way. Not a good idea to put the CC# in chat though. Phone or FAX are the most secure.

You need to provide the service rep with all they information they need from you in order to facilitate an expedient resolution to the issue. The chances of anything bad happening to your credit card by you telling it to him are very slim.
