Custom tailors in Bangkok, Thailand

For those that have been there/know people that have been there/just know about the place...

I am looking for personal recommendations for a custom tailor in Bangkok, for men's suits. I've been there once, and custom tailors are pretty common there, especially in the high tourist areas of the country. However, I'd rather stay away from these places and rather a bit more for higher quality and trustworthy workmanship.

Also, I have zero knowledge about fabrics and the ilk, so a tailor that can provide information would be a plus. I have about two weeks in the area, if that is an issue.

2 weeks isnt a problem at all they can tailor your suits and shirts in 24 hours if they have to i'd reccomend you ordering them on day 3 or 4 so they can get them done and you can have a fitting or two and order more if you like them. I have the name of a guy who did a good job for me when I went there. I have his info at home and will post it later tonight. you need to haggle with this guy or for that matter where ever you go.

Thanks for the quick response Ameesh. Haggling I'm okay with, the only part I'm worried about is knowing the value and quality of fabrics and trying not to get ripped off in that regard. I look forward to your info.

as far as what cloth is quality and whats not, they will help you with that, the stuff upstairs is the best quality but they have good stuff down stairs.

also they will deliver to your hotel free of charge and if you want lift to the shop just ask your concierge at your hotel to call them and have them pick you up. they'll pick you up and drop you off and when the clothes are ready they'll give you a fitting in your hotel if you want.
