Custom Rigs Bragging!

Hey Guys.

I'm the editor-in-chief of a student highschool newspaper, which means I get to supervise a bunch of highschool students as they put together an internet newspaper. One of the things I get to do is write a column. No, this isn't a plug for the paper.

In the February edition of the column, I talked about building a custom rig vs. the Mac Mini and I asked everyone to send in pictures and descriptions of their modded, custom-built rig. As I was sitting here reading AT, I realized that the best source of cool rigs is right here in this place.

So here's a chance to brag about your rigs or mod jobs. The paper gets quite a few people (700 hits first day) so you really get a chance to show the world. Here it is a chance to brag about your rig. I just wanted to share the opportunity with you guys and I'd love to see all of your super cool computers.

I'm not comparing a dual opteron to a mac mini. You didn't read the column. I'm merely comparing an upgrade to my PC vs buying a Mac Mini. Both upgrades would roughly cost the same thing. I never compared in terms of computing power the opterons to a Mac Mini. It's not meant to be a tech column, as anyone can get that info using any half-decent search engine. :roll:

EDIT: Thanks Gurck but I'm not thinking of purchasing the Mac merely on looks. I've never worked with Macs before and to me the Mini seems like a decent forary into the OS X world. And I'm actually in college, btw.

Damn.....I'd give up my Mac Mini for that thing. I've seen it before...it's widely touted as the ultimate PC mod.

Man, the amount of work you put into that. That's art right there.
