Are there any proggies that anyone knows of to make a custom restore disk? We all have had a run in with the Packard Bell, or Compaq "Restore Disk"...right? well, i have started building computers left and right and thought it would be cool (and really handy) to be able to throw in a cd and fdisk, format, and load the basic software (the OS, word processing, antivirus, etc) on there at once... let me know what you guys and gals come up with!

I have used the Power Quest Drive Image program to image the hard drive onto a second partition (at up to 50% compression) and then copy the image from the partition to cd's. It works perfectly. The restore is done from DOS boot disks, smooth as silk. But you would need to sell your customers the Drive Image program in order to accomplish a restore.

Adaptec's Take Two software included in EZ Creator 4.0 makes a nice restore CD directly from your hard drive that is bootable from DOS. It works very well for me.

The latest update/patch from Adaptec's website is essential to Take2 working perfectly.
