Custom resolution for Battlefield Vietnam?

Is there anyway to get Battlefield Vietnam to run at 1600x1024? This is the native resolution on my flat panel and playing stretched at 10x7 is getting old...

Edit some file.
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Settings\Profiles\Custom\

Edit this line: game.setGameDisplayMode 1024 768 32
Should be similar for Vietnam version.

yeah i had to mess with that last night. remember to change texture quality before modding the video.con file. it resets the res when you change it in game. and yes... no high res support is silly.

Tried those things, still does not seem to work. Will 1600x1024 show up as an option?

After changing the video.con file, you may need to set it as READ ONLY. BFV will periodically re-write the .con files with what it thinks things should be.
