Custom resolution and utilities for going beyond 60 Hz?

Is it possible I could create a custom resolution and custom refresh rate for my Apple LED cinema display and a utility to unlock refresh rates beyond 60 Hz?

I wouldn't be overclocking it since I'd create a half res custom res and 120 Hz refresh rate. If I couldn't get 120Hz out of it, couldn't I get 75 Hz out of it?

If I can, then I might even buy the 27 in one since it has a higher color gamut.

Thanks:)

I wouldn't damage the monitor if I didn't go over it's native pixel clock, would I?

From all accounts, there's no harm in attempting these adjustments... but honestly, since most people are using these tools with Catleaps and Overlords, they simply haven't been out there long enough to know about long-term effects and potential harm.

As with just about all hacking of a sort, risks might apply... so with your very expensive monitor... I encourage more research. I'd take a look at [H] for more from ACD owners, too.

Best of luck.
