Briefly, my company has reinstituted their employee computer loan program. They won't let you buy separate components, so I'm looking for a company that can assemble a system to spec and then give it a "name" and call it "off-the-rack" for me. I'd like someone good at cabling; case, power supply, and (quiet) fan choice; as well as a company that provides a warranty. Any suggestions? Thanks.

United Micro put together my first bare bones Athlon system (which I rebuilt 2 months later lol). Excellent service and quality, and you can pick and choose most items in your box. They included an Enlight 5237 and 300W PSU compared to other OEMs that had no name generic stuff at the same price.

Go to price watch and click on PC Kits/Barebones systems. You can run a search for your mobo and start with that. Also, from there you can visit their website and make more modifications there. Even if you part out the system online, you should call it in as the Pricewatch price is usually discounted. They asked me where I was quoted that "consideration". This was like 2 years ago though, so I don't know if there is any difference in their pricewatch and online price anymore.

Thank you all *very* much for your comments. I've e-mailed the 3 companies mentioned, as well as checking out resellerratings.com. Great stuff! The one thing I know nothing about is cooling. This is going to be a beast, but I would desperately like it to be as quiet as possible. I realize that there's nothing I can do about the drives, but what fans do people use that are truly quiet? I'm probably going to need at least 4 of them. Thanks again.
