I am thinking of invensting in a new computer soon. I only have an old old old 2.4ghz athlon xp rig at home and two pentium mobile laptops. I never end up using the desktop, so I was looking into higher end notebooks. My friend told me that he can order all of the wholesale stuff to build a custom laptop, and I'm wondering if anyone else out there has experience doing this.
He said basically they come as a motherboard in a bare case and you add the display, processor, video, and everything else. I need to look at the parts that I can buy, but does anyone have experience or suggestions for going this route?
