I'm soon to get DWN SHFT on mine, (down shift) and I thought it was good. I have seen a very nice looking late 20's woman in a topless viper with the license plate "PU55Y" and many others not quite as cool as that. WSH PSST is good for the blow-off valve noise, but not many would get that.

Going thru the Lincoln tunnel about 2yrs ago, i saw a young blond chick in a sports car with the plates: IMEZ

And my old neighbors.. he had a classic datsun 280ZX with the plate: JimsZ
And his wife had a mazda rx7 with the plate: Z eater

I've also seen a friend's that was 2482, nothing special, but when I saw it I thought to myself...

2 doubled = 4
4 doubled = 8
8 minus two previous numbers = 2

And I thought that was blimey cool

I know everyone's gonna say they won't do symbols but here in ATL I saw one that was JSUS + SVS but the "+"symbol was a sweet lookin cross, not a decal either, it was actually punched into the plate with the black on it and everything.

That's pretty cool...at first glance I thought "Jesus + SUV" but I realized my quickly after 😛

Well I might actually be getting one soon, and I have two ideas:

Get a UM Plate, so there's a big yellow 'M' followed by MDUFF = MMDUFF (not at the top of my list)
the other one goes out to my fellow geeks: "OMGWTF" 😀
 
I saw a Porsche on the freeway once with the license plate "RAISE". 😀

I've also seen a picture of a Florida license plate elsewhere on the net. I don't know if they still have the same design or not for Florida plates, but this one in particular read A55 RGY with a picture of an orange strategically located between the A55 and the RGY. :evil:
 
Thinking about SuperB for my Super Beetle... but of course, most people would probably just read it as Superb.

goes with what I do (Natural Language Dialogue systems)

and umm... a demo will be in my car at some point soon...

😀 I wanted EADGBE when I lived in Virginia - but it was already taken 🙁 After moving to NC, I somehow lost interest in personalized plates.
 
IMO, personalized plates attract too much attention. Kinda hypocritical coming from somebody with two custom plates.
