custom intake vent

does anyone have an suggestion on how to make a custom intake vent, my case didnt come with a front vent. maybe open one of the drive bay and put a fan behind the hole then cover the drive bay hole with nylon or something? lol

heres how the case looks like right now. front of case
would this be a good solution?

They make drive bay (5-1/4") intake fan items you know. As for putting something below those drives, is there room behind the face for a fan? How about in the drive bays? If there's screw holes for a fan, then there should be a way for air to reach it. If the bottom of the front/face has a slot, or gap, between it and the metal, then that's where air would get sucked in. It should, also, have fan mounting holes towards the bottom. If not, then you might try putting a fan on either side panel to pull air in. You can figure out where on either side (a right hand side fan would be different) and just drill mounting holes and cut a blow (or suck as the case may be) hole. You can put a fan filter on the other side of the fan (inside if you keep it all in) to keep the dust level under control inside the case.

Are you looking to get the case temps down, or the processor temps down?

i have a 120 mm mounted in the bottom three 5.25 drive bays on my case. looks sweet cause it has 4 blue leds but i dont think it helps muh so i turn the speed way down. i also have a 80 mm blowhole on the top of my case and the psu intakes are only on the front of it so all the 120's air gets blown through those two. doing the same might be your best bet though cause there is now way to get intake from the bottom. you could also ghetto-mount a fan right behind the hard drivesand in front of the video card and knock out the other 3.5 drive cover-then you get hard drive and vga cooling-another one of my mods

Are you sure there is not a place to mount a fan in the lower front with the vent at the bottom or around the edges of the front panel?
. If not, I would do a serious mod... Can you find more links to inside pix of that case somewhere on the web or do you know the name of the mfr.?
.bh.

Where's the :sun: ?

how well do you think the air can be sucked in through that small hole? would i be better off opening one of the drive bay covers?
