Custom case painting

A guy I work with does custom car painting at his home. He has a "clean" room to do the painting. He's good. I'm talking 5k$ to 10k$ paint jobs. Course one of these jobs might take several months.

I'm trying to get him to look into custom computer case painting. What do you think this type of job is worth? I asked him about aluminum cases...no sweat. Plastic also...no sweat. Do you think a talented painter could make any money at it?

Ehh, most people get satisfaction when they mod/paint their own cases and then take the credit for it. He may make some but most cases just get scratched over time. Not too large of a market IMHO.

Well sure you can paint your case with a few spray bombs.....Hell you can do your car the same way. What I'm asking here is if there exists a market for "custom" painting. I see computer related posts all the time with "price is no object". I also see pictures of custom cases obviously not painted by spray bombs. Any links to people or companies doing custom paint work in the computer field? Perhaps I could get some prices there.

Hey!! I like Fireman's method, and I just must add if U wanna do the job in the right way, dont forget to use sandpaper before appliyng the spray paint, after the paint U can use transparent lacque (I hope this spell's right) to avoid future scratches.

Regards.

BTW I'm going for the beers right now (viva Corona).
