CUSL2.... Quantum LM Plus vs. Maxtor Diamond Max????

Hi,

I would like to know what would be better: Quantum Fireball Plus LM (ATA66 and 8,5ms) or Maxtor Diamond Max (ATA100, 9,0ms).
I'm asking because of the access time, and also because I personally prefer Quantum. I want to know some opinions....

If I recall correctly, Quantum LM Plus is ATA66, while diamondmax plus is ATA100. You should be able to get both drives of equal size for the same price, roughly.
 
oops, I didn't read your post right!! I chose the maxtor over the quantum. I don't have a quantum to compare my drive with, but I do hear that the fireballs sound like a freight train.
 
My LM is fine. Runs reasonably cool and quiet for a 7200rpm drive.

You'll have a hard time buying a bad drive, these days.
 
i have quantum LM and quantum LCT on my cusl2 and it's run perfect here with 41 pci bus speed! i run it for 4 month already!
