I have a couple of 366 PPGA processors laying around and was wondering if this board will support them also??? The manual says FCPGA (or latest Intel processors) but is the board backward compatible??? I dont want to fry it but would like to see what the older generation of processors would do on this fine board...

BTW one of the 366`s I have will run 618mhz 2.1 on a BX board and has run 651mhz 2.1 with a peltier... the other is a 550 @2.0 chip or 604 @2.1 (remember the good ole days...)

FC-PGA is backwards compatible with PPGA, so it should be able to run.

Hummm... Just for the heck of it I tried it... It will post (up to 652mhz 2.2 which was sorta interesting) but when my 2940UW scanned it was slow to do so and would not go past "bios installed" WTF??? I tried several bios settings in the 815e & 2940UW but could not get it past this same point??? Any idea`s???

Also tried it at several boot speeds 366-652mhz no luck :(

SCSI cards are usually quite sensitive to out-of-spec PCI speeds, so that may be the reason why you are having problems.
