CUSL2 case speaker clicking

I'm wondering if my Asus CUSL2 is OK. When I hit the power, the case speaker makes a couple clicks, then when it passes POST, it hear a sick sounding beep. It kinda stutters, but I can tell it is a single beep. The machine performs great. Anyone else hear this? I have tried a new speaker, and a different power supply.
 
Yes, it's a beep and then a half-hearted bee......

Happens sometimes, but not all the time. Doesn't seem to indicate any problems though.
