CUSL2-C and P3 Questions

Hi,

What's an okay heat range for a P3 1Ghz CPU? I'm showing 100-127F, is this going to hurt the CPU?

Also, I can't get my two CD drives to show up as UtlraDMA33 devices on bootup, even though they woked fine on my last Mobo, to BIOS won't let me change them to UltraDMA 33 mode, any insights why?

Thats hot for a Piii, 100 you idle temp? 127 could hurt the cpu are you overclocking?

no overclocking, and I have a FOP321 on it. I wonder what's making it so hot.

Did you apply artic silver 2?

radio shack thermal paste. It runs at about 105 F idle and 125 F after heavy use

Thats not a happy cpu, you might want to try artic silver, or reapply your paste and try again...

Just for comparison, my piii 1.0 @ 1.2 idles at 77 and full load at 105...
