I was wondering if anyone knew what might be wrong:
Here is the scenario, I just set up a CUSL2-C w/ P3 700, 128MB ram, Asus Geforce Mx2. Now when I tried to install a new US Robotics PCI modem, once installed I get a no dial tone error. I tried to move it to other PCI slots with the same problem. I had ordered a slightly different US Rob PCI modem for my girlfriend and installed it with the same results. I also tried with an old 33.6 modem, with the same results. I know for sure that my girlfriend's modem works as I had already installed it on her PC, and there is definately a dial tone(as I plugged another PC into the phone jack that I was using and it dialed in just fine). I was wondering if there might be a jumper setting on the CUSL2 MB that I need to set?? It must have something to do with the motherboard. If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated. The modem shows up on COM port 3, and I am using windows 98.
Thanks in advance for your ideas.
