I'm at the part where Guybrush puts lotion onto Elaine's finger to pull the ring out... the ring explodes and it should leave the just the band behind but it doesn't! so now I'm stuck with an item that I don't have but am supposed to have. Did anyone run across this bug? I can't advance anymore, it's game over for me!
 
I don't remember this game, as I played it a very long time ago, but maybe you need to replace the ring with another one?
 
Try it in ScummVM. I don't remember this part that well, but I completed the game with ScummVM a few years ago without any problems.
 
I'm not sure if I remember this correctly, but I think you have to get the band from Minnie Goodsoup. I don't want to say too much more because I don't want to spoil the game for you. I don't think you're experiencing a glitch; I think you just have to keep playing and you'll find what you need. I'm glad people are still playing this. It's a really great game.
