Curse from my PC case

I only believe super natual stuff in fiction, but a very weird situation just happened to me.

I was complaining how ugly my PC case looks these days (see this Thread)

Then, it took revenge on me.

Now I can not shut down my PC... After the PC turns off for 5 - 10 sec, it tries to restart automatically. But seems like it can't fully start, so I see the lights on and off, and hear the internal fan start and off, the HDs too...

No matter what button I press, I can't stop it.

I have duel OS (Win2K, Win98SE) on the box, and all the same resault after I shut down (so it's not the OS bug).

The only way I can stop this is to unplug the power cord completely.

Any clues, folks? Or is my pc haunted?

I've had similar things happen to one of my computers on a cheaper case of mine.

Basically the motherboard wasn't seated very well on the stands. I believe it caused something to short and thus resulted in random power on/offs. Try reseating your motherboard and expansion cards. After I did that on that trouble making PC, it all went away.

Its possessed. Immerse it in holy water, and call an excorcist. Dont leave yourself alone with it. It is only a matter of time before it starts levitating and twisitng its drive bays 360 degrees.

1st, the press and hold power off button won't work. 2nd, I have unplugged all the cards and reinstall them, and reseated my mobo as well. Same thing happened.

I am telling you, the first time it happened it was really scary. I turned off my PC and went to bed at 2AM. Just about falling to sleep, the PC tried to start it self. I didn't turn off the speakers so I hear statics from them "pu...pu...pu...". I said "what the f..." and press the power off button to kill it. after a few min, it started again. I said holy sh!t, and pull the plug...

Seems like I need to get a new case...
