I'm trying to get a replacement for a 2007fpw with a banding problem... I'm literally having to guide the dell CSR through each step and explain all of the technicalities to her. She was asking me to go into BIOS and see if the problem exists there.. I'm like IT'S A FLIPPING GRADIENT!

i was on support for this credit card software we use and the woman i was talking to told me to map a drive to a folder on the same pc...

i carefully hung up and called back and got someone better.

Finally! Some result!

Geez... I had to ask her if she understands what banding is... she said yes. So I asked if she knew what a gradient was.

i doubt she does. unless you see it, it isn't apprent. good luck man. dell has good monitors but their support sucks bad.
