excuse the noobness, but do you rib the DVD's and encode them in high def or are you capturing it from HDTV.

If he encoded them from DVD sources they wouldn't look nearly so good. :p

Edit: Plus it would be mostly pointless to encode and upscale DVD video to 720p or 1080p anyway, when DVD video is only 480p...

cool, so where is the source from? HDTV I assume? Didn't knopw PPV shows were on HDTV yet. Cool.

btw, I just d/l the riddick video, it looks fvcking awesome! how big is a full movie anyway?

I assume he's connecting his STB to his PC via FireWire and getting content through that, but I don't get how Goose is able to get movies...Goose, does your cable company not use 5C encryption?
