This has got to be close to a record. People in Baton Rouge CANNOT drive. It took me almost an hour to drive 10 miles...and I didn't see any of the wrecks.

So how was your drive home?

25 mins, with turtles, armadillos, dogs, deer, and idiotic drivers, in ascending order of annoyance/danger. Yesterday a guy entered the highway just in front of me and proceeded to drive at 30mph (traffic was going at 65). Took me some time to go around him.

Today a girl just in front of me decides to turn left on the wrong way of a one-way street, when there was already a line of cars facing her just looking to see what she was about to do. Then she gives up and decides to continue to go straight. By this time I'm at her right-hand side, and she's coming... I blow the horn and floor it to get ahead so she can see me; of course she didn't bother to look in the direction she was driving. She just goes straight in the wrong lane, against incoming traffic. Everybody has to stop for her.

Mississippi has one of the highest insurance rates, the highest mortality rate, the lowest traffic density. When commuting to work (20 miles), I pass between 0-3 cars, and see maybe 20 cars driving in the opposite direction. Amazing how they achieve so much with so little...

Hmmm, BTR traffic gets pretty chaotic on 110 and I-10/I-12. I usually try to avoid driving through it during 'rush' hour.

It pisses me off to no end when you have three lanes and some oblivious dickweed is in the far left lane going 50mph. That is how congestion develops and accidents happen.

It took me almost two hours to get from the river in Baton Rouge (refinery) to Denham Springs.

Generally, it's not this bad. I have almost no choice but to take the interstate (I work by the airport and live close to the Mall of Louisiana). If I take surface streets, it'll take forever. If my job wasn't so easy and high-paying, I'd move.

I would rank the states I have driven through (seen here )in the following order:

1) Georgia (worst)
2) Mississippi
3) Louisiana

And an honorable mention goes to Florida for having one of its drivers almost kill me on I-10 West.

Over here they like to drive just 3ft behind you, even when raining. There's no traffic, they could pass, but they don't (afraid of cops, don't want to lead the group). They just stay there. If you slow down, they just slow down. If you go faster they just follow.

Last week I thought I was following a rider truck that was towing a Cherokee. Then I realized the Cherokee would move from side to side and had the headlights on. I've never seen someone drive so close to a truck on a highway. I wouldn't park that close to a truck. Must be a Nascar fan.

If I was driving that truck I would brake hard.

Lousiana has some of the dumbest/most stupid/incompetent drivers anywhere. Tailgaters, LLC(left lane campers), Never used signals, Blind as a bat, Ect..Ect.

And big fat cops have nothing to do but hiding behind the bushes eating donuts to bust you for driving over a couple miles per hours and they bitching about how they are underpay and short hand and all while ingoring serious felony crimes such as burgarly, rapes, muders, ect.

Just made the trip to Denham Springs from B.R. about 30 min. ago, and it was average - 8 miles in 25 min.
