Current thinking on best 60 - 150 GB SSD?

Hi, I'm putting a new computer together probably in about 2 months time and I'm in the planning a research phase.

I'm pretty committed to a speedy SSD. I don't need big but I would like fast. I've read the Anandtech mega-articles that have popped up so I understand a bit of the ins and outs but I don't currently know the latest situation.

Any suggestions or links to read would be greatly appreciated.

Well, w/ new Sandforce-based SSDs coming out in the next while, i'd say it's a bit hard to say for sure what'll be best in the next few months.

At this moment, i'd be looking @ Intel G2s or if larger for cheaper is more of a priority, more anything Indilinx-based w/ TRIM support.

Intel G2 was my current thinking before I started looking, but for some reason there seems to be no Intel SSDs on my most commonly used computer part website (ebuyer.com)

So I thought there might be some big problem I'd missed about them while I've not had much chance to read the news the last month...

I'd much rather having something fast than big, my plan was to stick the OS + most frequent used applications on it and then have a couple of 1 TB HDDs for everything else.

Speed rules! I am waiting to see how the new Sandforce shakes out. I would LIKE to wait until the Intel G3 and the Indilinx second revision. We'll see.

As awesome as Sandforce seems, I'm doubting that I can actually afford one. 🙁

I just got my 60GB Agility yesterday, and I'm quite happy with that so far.

intel - they control the flash and controller design - clearly they are good at designing chips- i heard intel has some new even smaller nm flash coming out - going to push even cheaper.
