Current computer -> media server or a simple NAS box?

I have a 1GHz P3 that I was thinking of turning into a media server, but it's a pain in the ass because the Antec SX1030 would need a new powersupply and there's just generally a lack of space for lots of drives. Oh yeah and I'd need a RAID card unless I was doing it in software which everybody seems to recommend not doing. I already have 4 200GB drives that I want to put in RAID 1 (mirroring).

I've been looking around and I find all these cool solutions but they either come with their own drives or they're too expensive.

Can I get some help with ideas, and if I turn my P3 into a media server can I get some recommendations on RAID cards, cases, OSs, PSUs, etc.? Thanks!

Do you really need it in Raid? You can just save money and take the slower transfer times. I would Just take out the cd drive in your pentium 3 desktop and pile the hard drives in. Then I would move the cd drive to an external enclosure. Cost=an external enclosure. Also, why would you need a new power supply? You don't have enough moltex connectors? You should be fine considering that the hard drives will use your 12 rail, and If i remember correctly, back then, mobos were heavy on the 5 rail.
