I have Cingular now and hate this company so their out along with AT&T. I was thinking of Verizon or T-Mobile. Any suggestions?

Nextel, when I was in a super shielded building and none of other carriers work, Nextel got full signal.

They are expensive and their phone sucks however.

Verizon
they have the best coverage for rural areas. More minutes per dollar.
the onyl drawback is they require a 2 year contract.

I was thinking of getting the Motorola Razr V3 phone. A guy here at work has one and it looks pretty cool.

Might wanna setup a poll with the major carriers listed to make this thread easier to interpret...

But my vote goes to Verizon!

I say it depends where you are. I have Verizon and its great everywhere except in my house. I get 1 bar max and drop calls. Ive noticed friends with Nextel get better reception in my house. T Mobile sucks in my area so i wouldnt personally get them yet my friend in Atlanta has them and says they are great.

I have had T-mobile for over 2 years... they have the best Customer Service and pricing IMO. I have 600 minutes plus free N&W for $39.99. Also, they only bind you to one year contracts when everyone else is doing 2... I had Sprint and AT&T previously, they both sucked big time... but Sprint does have cool phones:)

Haven't had any problems with Suncom, but i think they split with AT&T, and AT&T went with cingular.

jules, ive been happy with verizon around here. never no problems, even up near pala and pauma valley or the bonsall/fallbrook area where my work nextel just sits with 'no service' messages.

I would say for service and reliability you should go with Verizon, my only problem with them is the way they control your phones functionality.

I'm looking at Verizon but their plans are more expensive than comparable plans through other carriers.

Nah, I'd rather just read what other people have to say.
