Anybody know of a recent (XP, Vista, Win 7) best practices guide?

Example:

Create restore disc - how to.

ghost image - so you can recover if you change something critical

create backups using the following methods.... - good basic backup methods

create a brand-independent OS install disc. - remove bloatware

etc.

Trying to save time by referencing a good recent guide that I can follow and prevent issues than trying to fix once they occur.
