Current best British band?

Radiohead are my favorites but Coldplay are a close second.

Radiohead might be my favorite British band ever, as it would either be them or the Beatles. So they are definetly my favorite current British band.

The leaked mastered version has been around for a couple of days I think and the leaked unmastered version has been around for a couple months.

I've listened to a couple of the tracks from the new Radiohead album, but I'll wait till I buy it and can listen to the full thing before I judge it.

Until then, the best current UK band are the Doves. Their last album ("The Last Broadcast") was simply amazing, and just seems to get better each time I listen. Check out "There goes the fear", "Satellites", "Pounding" and "The Last Broadcast". Their first album was pretty damn good too.

Doves are a great band, but I thought Lost Souls was vastly superior to Last Broadcast.

I think my vote would probably go to Underworld, though. Or Peter Gabriel or Orbital or Travis or Radiohead...can't really decide.
