Was just informed by my boss that the company is revoking all internet access to all employees. Now what'll I do to kill the time? *sigh*

i would find another job. The internet is an important tool for the workplace. Any workplace denying this is a crap job. 😛

If they did that I would not be able to do my job!

Besides the neffing I use it to find components and keep in touch with other members of the project world wide.

Your company sucks.

aaah and you only got 210 posts in while at work?!? that sucks man! some days I feel like I post 210 times in one day!

i don't know what I would do w/out the internet at work. there is no possible human way I could program for 8 hours straight a day. it just wouldn't happen. after about 3 - 4 hours of programmoing i actually get less productive and need a little break from the norm to get my head back on track.

Well quitting isn't an option. It's awful hard these days to find a job that pays $28/hour with benefits. Furthermore my job is rather easy and my boss is almost never around to keep an eye on me. Good thing I bought a PSP. *sigh of relief*

what do you do?

I work in a laboratory testing automotive sensors such as temperature sensors and humididty sensors. They do give me all kinds of tools and very expensive machinery to work with though. They just bought me a sweedish machine for one specific test I run. This machine is no bigger than a loaf of bread and cost $15,000.

hmmm, get a job in IT security, prove that you need the internet to do research on security and what not. 🙂
