thx, cool vid. ive actually started looking at the cooper s. Seems to have pretty good mileage for the cars in the price range that have some "zip" to it (at least compared to mazda 3, subaru wrx).

My dad loved his until I was driving it and got T-boned by someone going 45mph. Sad to say she won't drive again :(

On a good note, I feel safer in that car than in ANY other. The mini gave its life for me. I won't soon forget it.

Its a fast little sucker, a blast to drive.

My sister just got a 2008 Cooper S, it drives a 1000x times better than her old 2004 Cooper!!
much smoother and a nicer interior.

True, but I can't think of any other car in this regime of compact, zippy, 20k$-30k$ class that runs on regular with ~30mpg avg.

I saw 3 people sit in the Cooper and the first thought that came to mind was "boy do they ever look squished". Doesn't look like a lot of room to carry much luggage or groceries either.

Cost of premium over regular is neglible.

I'm 5' 11" and I used to fit in the back of my dad's mini comfortably. We regularly had 4 adults in there and its surprisingly comfortable as there is plenty of headroom and your knees don't hit the seat.

Truck space, well thats another issue entirely.

I dunno, I found it interesting :)

I just love these cars. I had a brand new 1979 MGB 'till it ran into a tree....Didn't do much for me or the car.

I find the automation in these factories amazing, very interesting, and just plain scary.

At what point do the factory designers determine when a human should be involved? Could this type of manufacturing be done solely by machines?

Wow! That looks like a really small plant. Their robots are not doing all they could and they could use a serious dose of automation. Those things look really wimpy - when it goes into bodyweld I want to see s symphony of 20 T2 like machines doing precision welds. I didn't really see a line in any of that video.

Plus all of the manual labor in stamping???
