curious question about certain words some folks use

Whenever I hear a guy says "I'd nail her", "I'd bang her", "I'd hit it".

I get the sense that they don't really respect the woman for who she is.

I've become used to hearing this from guys oogling pictures of models...

However, when it comes from a guy saying that about his girlfriend....

(And I've heard it from close friends too), I tend to feel insulted for her.

Am I the only one who thinks like this?

No, its really not the right way to talk about a woman.

But when I'm joking around with other guys, I say a lot of things that I don't intend to be taken 100% seriously on.

"I'd make mad passionate love to it" ?

How about....

I'm planning on fvcking my girlfriend tonight

or

I'm planning on having sex with her...

doesn't have to be

I'm planning on making sweet love to her tonight.

I'm more insulted and angered at things like contracts or employment papers using the term "alcohol and drugs." HELLO, alcohol IS a drug, one of the most unhealthiest and addictive drugs in the WORLD. But its legal so lets not even refer to it as a drug, allright? Bullshit!

Sh*t, I've heard women threatening to "f*ck him to death".

Don't get all caught up in the female protectionist deal. They're liberated, remember?

Actually, alcohol in small amounts can be beneficial.

Aside from that, alcohol and drugs are lumped in different categories for simplicity. Alcohol is sold over the counter to the general public, in some cases at 10 AM on a Tuesday. Drugs are not - they are controlled substances.

To sum up:

Quit your bitchin'.

NEVER!
Just because one is sold OTC and the other is sold ATC (at the corner) doesn't mean shit. Alcohol is a controlled substance, legal or not.

Dude, do you know what "controlled substance" means?

It varies by state, but in most of America I could have my entire garage filled to the roof with vodka and all the cops can say is "please keep the noise down".

Obviously they're referring to illegal drugs...otherwise they could fire you for taking aspirin.

You're missing the point though, its not about what the cops can or can't do obviously, it's what alcohol and other drugs can do to your body, which is alter its state when digested or inhaled.

That has nothing to do with whether or not it's a controlled substance.

And YOU are missing the point. The POINT is that regardless of its many similarities to illegal drugs, alcohol does not have the many legal restrictions on it that prescription drugs do. THAT is why it is lumped in a seperate category from them, as per your original query.

If you want to know WHY that is the case, I suggest you ask your congressman, who will in turn refer you to the office of the lobbyist from Anheuser Busch who contributes obscene amounts of money to his re-election campaigns.

Egads, where's the mention of Tobacco? You want to talk about something bad for you - it's the number 1 killer worldwide.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I wouldn't recommend inhaling alcohol. Just a thought.

Turn in your man card. Men will act like a-holes. It is in our nature.

Coulda fooled me, you seem immersed in it, probably have one of those 4 can foam domes on as you post. But whatever man, as per my original point I just find it rediculous to say "alcohol and drugs" when portraying mind altering substances, as they are one in the same. If you want to get mutually exclusive about it, then write something like "Illegal drugs and alcohol." Just my 2 cents.
