Okay so I know that
pc1600=200mhz (100 x 2)
pc2100=266mhz (133 X 2)
pc2700=333mhz (166 X 2)

But I don't understand the correlation between these numbers. Does it have to do with the memory bandwidth?? I've never really found a straight answer.

yes memory bandwidth.

PC1600 = 1.6GBs
PC2100 = 2.1GBs
PC2700 = 2.7GBs

Yes it's bandwidth.

PC2700 = 8bytes*333Mhz = ~2.7GB/Sec
