The first is in Off Topic. This is the Politics and NEWS forum...and landing the rover on Mars is news.

The second is a pissing contest about how Obama is trying to destroy or not destroy NASA. This thread is about actually landing Curiosity on Mars.

If you want to talke about landing Curiosity on Mars, this is the thread for you. If not, then stay out of it. Anything else is off topic and infraction worthy.

Will.I.Am is on the live stream right now. He is a NASA ambassador to kids. I did not know this. :)

Very nice of you to post this thread, cybrsage. Hope it stays on topic.

I am on the East Coast and won't stay up for the landing, but hope the mission is a successful one.

The mobility of Curiosity and the long life nuclear power system should be a boon to Mars discovery.

Landing an 800 pound rover on Mars. ;)
Mars has a little more than 1/3 the gravity field strength of Earth. I've been thinking about watching it live, to see if it makes it.
