Good question Skoorb.. I was looking on carpoint yesterday because my friend is buying a 3000gt, and it said his curb weight was 4000 pounds !? vs. the gross weight of like 3300 pounds.. I have no clue why though.

Curb weight means if you put the vehicle on a scale with nothing or nobody in it thats the weight you will see.

that 4000lbs is why the 3000GT is so hilarious ;)

Oh and GVRW = the weight of the vehicle if all it's capacities were full (cargo, passangers, and trailer if applicable)

So gross weight to a heavy duty pickup truck could be maybe 6-7k and the curb might be only 4?

Yes, the typical GVRW you see in a 3/4 ton truck is 8400lbs and it'll weigh about 5K lbs
