I've been getting curb side take away for a few months now. I get it about once a week. I go to places like Outback , Uno, Romano's, etc. that have it.

Last time I was at Outback, the girl delivering my food demanded a tip. She said she wanted 10%.

Are you supposed to tip in a curb side take away? And 10% seems like a lot for someone who just brings the food out to your car.

Very little I'd think. If they expect me to tip them for walking it to the curb, I'll just get out of the car and go inside... If she demanded a tip, I'd probably demand exact change.

anyone who demanded a tip from me would get nothing. in fact I docked our Chili's waitress several percent the other night for even bringing up the subject of tipping with me.

Well I'm not going back to Outback any more that's for sure. Because I think all their peons recognize me, and they might spit in my food or something.

I can't believe she asked for a tip. She needs some advice - and, she'll end up making more money by changing her approach. I've gotten carry-out before from places like Ruby Tuesdays. Since they don't have a drive-up service, the order was handled by the bartender. The bartender ended up leaving the bar to go to the kitchen to pick my food up. For this reason, I threw a few bucks into his tip jar on the counter.

The drive-up service seems less demanding than going to a buffet. Certainly, you don't tip the waiter in that case 15% for bringing the drinks to your table and pointing to the plate location for the buffet food.

just because she asked for it means she should get kidnapped, i would have attempted to give her the money, but instead grab her arm and pull her into the car, provided shes skinny enough. then take her somewhere far away and leave her there.
