I am currently ingesting about 220gm of whey isolate daily, and have had a little trouble with the salty taste, as it is in plain water. Is there anything i can add to the powder in order to make the taste more manageable?

Throw in some bananas or berries before you make the shake. Bananas work with chocholate or vanilla, berries you're better off with vanilla.

Hmmm...why not sugar? Sugar would balance the taste of salt, and you wouldn't have to add much. Half teaspoon will add only 15 calories to your shake. Plus AFAIK, ingesting your protein with sugars helps with the muscles uptake of the protein...or however you describe it scientifically.

True, although you only want that insulin spike immediately post-workout.
