<< This machine makes the best tasting coffee I have ever had from a home unit - period! Cleaining is not that difficult IMHO, takes about 5 minutes to rinse and dry the 4 major sub-assemblies. For $20, you can't go wrong! >>
I suggest anyone considering this go over to epinions and check out those reviews. I know I did, when I first saw this deal posted about a month ago (yes, this is a repost). I wonder, Scoobmaster, based on what I read at epinions, how you like your coffee, and/or how many beans you put in. The epinions reviews pretty consistently knocked the grinder in this unit as grinding inconsistently, leaving many of the beans too coarse. This means you end up using more beans to get the same strength coffee, which over time is an expense that may erode the "deal" of your original purchase.
I was really tempted to grab this when I first saw it too, but then common sense overrode the temptation to buy just because it was a deal. It really doesn't save any time (you load the beans the night before, instead of grinding when you get up), it's more of a pain to maintain (clean), and because you can't control the grind level of the coffee, it ain't likely gonna make a cup that's any better to your tastes than what you can get elsewhere (e.g. with the Braun coffeemaker that Gevalia also regualrly gives away, and I in fact use, with a Braun grinder). This is a "gee whiz" contraption that is kinda like a coffeetable book -- it's there more to be seen, than for serious use. IMO.
