We've got a PC at work that is used for video editing and other marketing items. The software is Adobe Creative Suite 5 Production Premium. Win7 64 bit is the OS.
The system consists of the following components (it's an HP machine)
i7 2.8GHZ cpu
8GB DDR3
128GB Crucial C300 OS Drive
1TB WD 7200RPM data drive
ATI HD4850 video card
today, I swapped in a nVidia GTX460 768MB video card to replace the HD4850.
The thought is that CS5 has the ability to utilize CUDA (as I understand it, anyway)
So, was the upgrade worth it?
Can I expect a noticeable performance difference with the switch from the AMD to nVidia video card?
I'm not the end user, btw. Just wondering if it is worth upgrading the other similar PCs
thanks!
