CUBX will and wont boot

Recent cubx purchase has me puzzled. Board will boot to windows then when shut down all is fine. When I select reboot instead of shut down it will freeze with hardware monitor error. If unplugged and wait a while will restart to bios and all is well, then if watching hardware monitor ,temps fine, voltages will all go red and board gets slow like molasses until lock up. Is this a defect?

System is a cubx with a 550e didnt overclock yet but plan to. used mushkin pc133 but have tryed pc100 also just in case. Have tryed a tnt2 pci card and an agp video card(viper 550) all work well in other systems.

If you have not tried it yet turn off the monitoring software and see if that helps.
