CTRL + F works only with right CTRL, CTRL + Enter work only with left CTRL. WTH?!

I frequently use CTRL + F (Find) and CTRL + Enter (www. ... .com) shortcuts. I prefer the MS Internet eyboard Pro (The last of MS' internal USB-hub keyboards with a normal layout). I own and use several. I swapped to a USB-only (OEM)one today and started noticing these problems. I believe this is the keyboard I used all of last month with no issue (I switched to my USB + PS2 retail model in the mean-time).

What could cause this?

I'm not mocking you but, does the left CNTRL key work? Like CNTRL A?

Mocking me? I don't understand. Both control keys work. One shortcut I tested with only works with the left control key and one only works with the right though I routinely use both control keys for both shortcuts on many PCs and have frequently with the same keyboard.

CTRL + F works only with right CTRL [key]
CTRL + Enter works only with left CTRL [key]
Both normally work with either CTRL key.
Basically, control-key shortcuts would only work with specific CTRL keys even though both worked.
For instance, CTRL + A would only work with one CTRL key while CTRL + V may have worked only with the other.
It was trial and error.
Strangely, I hibernated the system and brought it back up and all was well. Odd!
