Ctrl + Enter doesn't auto-add the "www." and ".com" to whatever is in the address bar (IE 6.0)

Alright, quirk. Anyone know why it wouldn't work?

Ex. type "google" in the address bar.
hit ctrl + enter
it just adds the http:// to the front and a / at the back.

where's the www. and .com at?

My first time trying it on this particular machine was last night. (WinXP Pro, P4 system)

EDIT

Things I've checked..

The CTRL key DOES work. It is functional in every instance.

It worked for me - it put an http and a .com in there, and immediately went to the page.

IE 6.0.2600 win98se

Maybe try to repair internet explorer? I dunno
