First, please learn the proper use of commas, semicolons, and periods, because they increase the understandability of your post immensely.

Now, I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly what you want to do. You're trying to open a third-party utility with CTRL+ALT+DEL? Sorry, but it won't work. The three fingered salute, in an NT-based system, is designed to bring up a known secure dialog (used for password entry, task management, and other dialogs), and there is no way, short of hacking the NTOSKRNL code, to do what you're wanting. Not to mention that no one in their right mind would replace the secure (well, that's relative, but I digress... ;)) built-in NT utilities with some unknown third party crap.

What is task.exe?

Anyway, he says you can't change it and you wouldn't want to do that anyway. Just make a keyboard shortcut for your program and do that instead. Here's how:

Find the program EXE that you want. Right Click on it, go to Send To menu, and select "Desktop (create shortcut)." Now you should see the shortcut on your desktop. Right click on it, go to Properties. Click in the 'Shortcut' field. Now hold down CTRL and ALT and type the letter you want to use as a shortcut -- for example, Q. It should say "CTRL + ALT + Q" in the shortcut field. Some letters may be taken, so you may need to use another letter. Now press OK and test out your shortcut by pressing CTRL+ALT+(the letter). Now you can use this keyboard shortcut to open that item in the future.

If you want to use the START key instead of CTRL+ALT, look for a program (free) called Copernic Winkey - it will let you assign those keys to programs (and you won't need to make a shortcut icon on your desktop).
