ctrl-alt-delete acting strange in Windows XP

I have Windows XP. For a long time, whenever I would press ctrl-alt-delete, I would get the task manager. Now, after installing some new drivers for my ATI Radeon 9250 video card, when I press ctrl-alt-delete, all my open windows disappear, and I get a box telling me that I'm logged on as MIKE\Mike and giving me several choices: Lock Computer, Log Off..., Shut Down..., Change Password..., Task Manager, and Cancel. I rarely, if ever, use those other features from that screen, so I would like to be able to load up the task manager directly like I used to be able to. Can anyone here help me with this?

Is "Use the Welcome Screen" and "Use Fast User Switching" still enabled in Control Panel \User Accounts?

ctrl+shift+esc is the taskmgr hotkey, MS switching it to ctrl+alt+del when FUS is enabled in XP was stupid IMO.

What is stupid about ctrl-alt-del? Well, I don't really know how logical it is, I just like it because that has been the shortcut for me ever since I installed Windows XP, so I've gotten accustomed to it. And what does FUS have to do with the shortcut? FUS is Fast User Switching, right? I am the only regular user of my computer, so I don't think it should matter whether this option is on or off.

so I don't think it should matter whether this option is on or off.

When you use FUS (wether your the only user or not) you get the new welcome screen and ctr-alt-del behaviour. With it off you get the old behaviour (including the dialog box you get now when hitting those keys).
