hey all, my computer crashed when installing new RAM and i had to redo my bios settings. Everything works fine, but my sound card stopped working. I uninstalled it and windows automatically detected the drivers (i have an Auzentech Forte 7.1). However, when i try to install the Auzentech drivers, i keep getting "CTCabEx.DLL not found" and the installation fails. I'd much rather use the Auzentech drivers and have their audio console, so i do i fix this issue?

I used CCcleaner and deleted all the registry entries it flagged, and i also used Drivercleaner.net, but i keep getting the same message everytime.:(

Any help would be appreciated! .DLL errors are really tricky it seems.

Did you try to install the RAM while the machine was running or something? :)

Have you looked for the DLL file on your own system?

First you must put the file in the proper location. And you must register the file using this command:

Hit Start, Run, then type in: regsvr32 CTCabEx.DLL and then hit enter.
You should reboot after.
