It's been a long time since I've had to write HTML for anything, and half the tag attributes I used to use are no longer supposed to be used. How do I do the following?

How do I do this?

If the text is too short, the next image doesn't display under the rest of the images like a single column.

When text is short, it looks like this.

Can someone help me out, please? Thanks in advance.

That kind of looks right, but while I want the images to stay on top of each other, there is a set of text for each image that I want to start to the right of each corresponding image. For lack of a better explanation, if you used a two column table with images on the left, the corresponding text would line up on the right. How might I do that?

I ended up using div tags with the clear attribute around the image and text and used a float left on the images. That worked.

That would be the appropriate way to do it to keep your text in line with the top of the image...that is, without a lot of extraneous formatting.
