CSPAN Caller Owns US Senate

Queasy

Moderator<br>Console Gaming
"I have been watching the hearings and I think that it is time to consider term limits on the Senate."

ROFL

In my experience reading political blogs, most of these politics nerds who watch CSPAN and write about politics don't know crap about politics beyond what they hear other people say.

In my limited experience watching CSPAN when viewers call in, most CSPAN viewers are idiots.

I propose banning CSPAN viewers from owning telephones or computers.

CSPAN viewers = owned? 😕

Heh. Obviously you haven't been watching the Senate hearings on the SCOTUS nomination of Alito (you have to watch CSPAN for this of course). Certain individuals on the Senate Judiciary committe deserve every bit of derision that people can muster.

Yep. That sure does explain all those intelligent Massachussets and Delaware voters, doesn't it?

Term Limits FTW!

And how about...

No lawyers!
No previously-elected officials!
No personal wealth in excess of $5 million
No yearly income in excess of $500K/year
Has to pass a history-of-the-US test
Has to file his own taxes/1040 without help
Has to have the Constitution memorized

You could replace CSPAN with ATP&N and it would be very accurate, as well.

so you want people who don't know the law, don't know politics, can't afford to have a house in washington and their own district, and wastes his time filling out 1040s?

Yes, I want average, middle-class Americans to fill Congress! Sounds great!

Too far gone now. Has anyone read some laws? They are exceedingly ridiculous and worded in such a way that you need lawyers and career politicians (Read: Kennedy) to be in office.

Average voter in the blue states: "Hmm, I need more food stamps, this guy is offering budget increases for welfare!"

Actually I take that back, that was wrong. 🙁 Those kind of voters don't understand the word 'budget'. 😛

This red state thing is getting old. I can't think of a single Texas politician that has benn around for that long.

Explain Ted Kennedy.
